Come and stay in the beautiful West Sussex countryside, less than an hour from London.
Our peaceful campsite is surrounded by nature, with a lovely woodland, abundant wildlife and space to relax and reconnect.
This pop-up campsite is designed to bring people together in a friendly setting, welcoming friends, couples and solo travellers alike.
Come and enjoy our magical woodland, with a sauna, outdoor showers, hammocks and a communal campfire on Friday and Saturday evenings (acoustic music is encouraged).
We are lucky to have the famous Bluebell Railway on our doorstep and the picturesque village of Horsted Keynes. We are also close to the beautiful Ashdown forest (15 minute drive) and Ardingly reservoir offers lovely walks and a range of water sports (8 minute drive).
Pricing and booking
Camping pitch (adults only)
We have a range of pitches around the site both on grass and in woodland. Pitches are allocated on a first come first served basis.
Friday- Monday £15 for 1 adult - £12 for each additional adult
Wednesday & Thursday £12 per person
Please note the site is closed Monday and Tuesday nights (excluding bank holidays).
Campervan pitch (adults only)
We provide spaces for campervans on the main grass field on our site. Sorry we can't provide electric hook up.
Friday- Monday £15 for 1 adult - £12 for each additional adult
Wednesday & Thursday £12 per person

GlampinG (adults only)
We have a beautiful wooden caravan which can sleep up to 4. It has one double bed and two small bunkbeds.

Local Area
Field and Fallow is a beautiful space for relaxing but very close to some wonderful places to visit.
People travel far and wide to enjoy Ardingly Reservoir. Stand up paddle boarding, kayaking and many other water sports are on offer but it’s also the perfect place for a cool shady summer stroll.
Wakehurst Place ‘Kew in the Countryside’ also offers glorious walking and the world class Millenium Seedbank on site is fascinating.
The High Weald of Sussex has several famous gardens within a 10 mile radius of Field and Fallow. Nymans, Standen and Sheffield Park - all National Trust. Plus Borde Hill and High Beeches - privately owned and very special.
The Ashdown Forest is also a short drive - a varied landscape of heathland, wooded glades and flowing streams with magnificent views to the North and South Downs.
We are fortunate to have some lovely pubs which can -just about- be reached on foot. The Cat in West Hoathly is a real gastropub but we also love The Crown and The Green Man both in Horsted Keynes.
The Bluebell Railway is a short drive or a lovely circular walk. Even if you don’t ride a steam train the station with its waiting room bar is a charming trip back in time.
In the field you can enjoy all the fun of camping, but all amenities are within surprisingly easy reach.
